Minister of the Interior Diego Santilli will travel this Friday to Mendoza to meet at 11 a.m. with provincial Governor Alfredo Cornejo. This meeting is part of a series of encounters he has been holding with various provincial leaders to negotiate the 2026 Budget. On Saturday, Santilli will repeat the formula in the south of the country: he will travel to Neuquén to meet with Governor Rolando Figueroa. In addition to addressing the Budget, the conversations include the structural reforms promoted by President Javier Milei, among which are the labor reform, the tax reform, and the reform of the Penal Code. According to official sources, these measures are part of a broader agenda that the government seeks to agree upon with the provinces before their treatment in Congress. When speaking at the UIA Industrial Conference, Santilli announced that the 'agenda' for the extraordinary sessions of Congress 'will have some more things that we will inform you about later and that come from the governors' agenda', implying that the Executive will incorporate provincial initiatives into the legislative call. In recent hours, the minister met with Governors Gustavo Sáenz (Salta) and Osvaldo Jaldo (Tucumán). According to the Ministry of the Interior, these meetings aim to articulate provincial positions and advance in agreements to facilitate the treatment of the Budget and the planned reforms. Last week, Santilli had already held meetings with Ignacio Torres (Chubut) and Raúl Jalil (Catamarca), and later continued the dialogue with Marcelo Orrego (San Juan) and Martín Llaryora (Córdoba).
